Scores & Accolades

    Jeb Dunnuck

“Made from 100% Cabernet from a site around the estate in St. Helena, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Home Vineyard spent 20 months in new French oak. Its inky color is followed by a rocking bouquet of pure black fruits, espresso roast, and forest floor notes. These carry to a rich, full-bodied, wine that has beautiful tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and a seamless pure texture." - Jeb Dunnuck, February 2020

“A silky, fruity red with hints of herbs, meat and walnuts. Medium to full body. Creamy tannins. Some cedar. Drink in two or three years.” - James Suckling, February 2020

    Wine Advocate

"The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon St Helena Home Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it features notions of baked red and black plums, cherry preserves and dried cranberries with hints of potpourri, underbrush and dusty soil plus a waft of cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a good solid backbone with a finely grained texture and fantastic intensity, finishing long and minerally. 723 cases were made.”” - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, August 13th, 2020

Winemaking

Mark Beringer - Winemaker

Mark Beringer, great-great-grandson of Beringer Vineyards' founding brother Jacob Beringer, was immersed in wine from the moment he was born in the heart of the Napa Valley. As the direct descendant to Beringer's first winemaker and one of the most iconic family names in Napa Valley wine history, he knew from a young age that he would follow in the footsteps of his ancestors. As a young man he spent many hours working in his family's wine store in Saint Helena, expanding his knowledge of wine as well as gaining an appreciation for wines outside of the famous region he has always called home.
